Libraries

Camões, I.P. has a vast network of libraries, including the Institute’s own library at its head-quarters in Lisbon (access subject to prior appointment) which houses the collections of the previous entities (IPAD and Instituto Camões). There are sixteen libraries available at cultural centres in several countries, predominately the Portuguese-speaking African countries (PALOP).

The Camões Digital Library is another facility available to those looking for a wide range of cultural information in the Portuguese language with emphasis on the publication of major works, which are freely available without the need for any type of registration or subscription.
