Tunis: Nádia Torres in Tunisia
Descrição
As part of the co-operation agreement between Portugal and Tunisia, a legacy based on very strong Arab-Portuguese connections, the jeweller Nádia Torres from the Mértola Archaeological Centre will be working with Tunisian craftspeople from the 8th to the 15th of April 2017 at the Tunis Medina to produce ten pieces of jewellery made from local silver, copper and semi-precious stones.
Using the most traditional production methods, this jewellery will be shaped and designed with the kind of artistic expression that reflects the common bond between these two cultures. The pieces will be on display at the Portuguese Embassy in Tunis from the 17th of April until the 19th of May.
